How to apply for and the benefits of a dependent or spousal KITAS in Indonesia

A Dependent/ Spousal KITAS is a temporary residence permit for foreign nationals who want to bring their family with them (husband, wife or children) to Indonesia.

The Dependent or spousal KITAS can be obtained if a partner or parent has a work permit or a foreign investment KITAS.

Below we explain the steps and requirements to obtain a Dependent or Spousal KITAS in Indonesia.

IDR 17.500.000 / person
  • Valid for 1 year.
  • Includes:
  • Multiple entry permit and sponsorship.
  • $150 USD Indonesian visa application fee.
Make an Appointment
  1. Passport valid for at least 18 months and a minimum of 2 blank pages.
  2. Scanned copy of the main page of the passport details.
  3. Scanned copy of the page of the passport cover.
  4. Document showing family ties to Primary Kitas holder (marriage certificate or birth certificate).
  5. Color recent photograph.
  6. Bank statement minimum USD 2.000.
  7. Address in country of origin.
  8. Address in Indonesia (hotel or villa).
  9. Domicile Letter Address in Bali (if any) or Lease Agreement Letter.
  10. Scanned copy of passport of Primary KITAS holder (Husband/Wife/Parent).
    – Scanned copy of the main page of the passport details.
    – Scanned copy of the page of the passport cover.
  11. KITAS of Primary KITAS holder (Husband/Parent).
    – Scanned copy of Kitas Stamp on Passport Page.
    – Scanned copy of Kitas.
  12. Scanned copy of Primary KITAS holder Company Sponsor document.
  1. Up to 40 days for processing in Indonesia.
  2. There is an option for 30 business days express service for additional fees.

  1. Renewal is every year at a cost IDR. 9,000,000. However, you do not need to fly out of the country to apply for the visa at Indonesian Embassy or incur the cost of the Indonesian Embassy visa application fee.
  2. Renewal needs to be processed a minimum 1 month before your Kitas expires.
  3. You are required to be inside Indonesia to process any KITAS renewal.
  1. Step 1 : Please print out the sponsorship and E–Visa for Entering Indonesia.
  2. Step 2 : Upon arrival in Indonesia you will need to provide us your passport within 30 days. We will then take it to the local immigration office for final approval. You will also be required to appear at Immigration for the Biometrics process.
  1. Company deed of establishment and its amendments (if any).
  2. Approval from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (MoLHR) of company sponsor /SK Kehakiman Pendirian Perusahaan dan Perubahannya (if any).
  3. Tax Registration Number (NPWP) of company sponsor.
  4. NIB (Business Registration Number) – (Online Submission System) OSS (Online Submission System).
  5. Ijin Lokasi (Location Permit) – (Online Submission System) OSS.
  6. Ijin Usaha (Business License) – (Online Submission System) OSS.
  7. BPJS Kesehatan – BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (Online Submission System) OSS.
  8. ID Card (KTP) and Family Register (KK) of the Indonesian Director of company sponsor as Guarantor, or passport of foreign Director.
  9. Blank papers with the company’s letterhead and Company Stamp.
  10. Visa Onlie Log–in.

  1. If you are not continuing or extending your Kitas, you need to process an EPO at a cost of IDR. 1,000,000.
